The NBC show, Good Girls tells the unlikely, sometimes funny, sometimes sexy dramatic tale of what happens when three women in Detroit, MI come up against hard financial times?
Beth (Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks) and her best friend Ruby (Retta from Parks & Rec), and baby sister Annie (Mae Whitman) are in trouble. These three best friends have serious money problems!
But over the previous three seasons, they have gone from robbing the local grocery store to laundering counterfeit cash, selling fake designer bags, to becoming the gang of fake money makers in town. So what’s next for Beth, Ruby, and Annie?
Money Changes Everything
The Good Girls’ money problems might be over, but their lives are still a hot mess.
Beth’s marriage is in shambles. The FBI is on her tail. Her husband, Dean, is tangled up with a bunch of househusbands and a dubious men’s skincare multi-level marketing scheme. Meanwhile, Rio still wants Beth to make his money, and who knows what else he wants from Beth.
Stan is not too happy with Ruby being involved in Beth’s shady schemes (if he only knew). Their daughter was able to get the organ transplant and the life-saving treatment she needed, and they were even able to send their younger son to a private school. Even so, there is trouble brewing in the Hill household. What happened to our favorite couple.
And don’t get me started on Annie. She has a good heart but always seems to make bad choices. Will this ‘good girl’ finally find herself a good man?
Too Many Loose Ends
How will they close out all the storylines and wrap up the loose ends?
- Will Beth and Dean finally split up? And what will happen between Beth and Rio?
- Will Annie find a decent guy, at last?
- Will Stan and Ruby live happily ever after?
- And speaking of Rio…who is Rio/Christopher, really?
With the pandemic, lockdown, and the cancellation, it feels like they are rushing this final episode, and I don’t think Good Girls fans will be satisfied.
