I have been asking for better chick flicks for a while now. I am on a campaign to let the world know that chick flicks don’t have to be sappy love stories about love starved females. These should be movies that appeal to women and tell our stories in an entertaining way. Julie & Julia satisfied my appetite for a really good chick flick.

We are less than 2 weeks away from the biggest movie event of the year, The Oscars. An if you are like me, you have seen some, but not all of the nominated movies. Let’s start with the Nominees for Best Supporting Actress. Usually the supporting actress is a kind of a secondary role that barely gets noticed. But these ladies had extraordinary roles.
