Several of 2009′s biggest hits will arrive on DVD in April, including Academy Award nominated movies, like Avatar, It’s Complicated and Crazy Heart.

Sandra Bullock, who won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in The Blind Side may be the first actress ever the win an Oscar and a Razzie (for All About Steve) in the same year. Sandra looked incredible too. Her golden beaded and lace Marchesa dress was the perfect outfit to wear when your accessory is a little gold statue.

December is the best time of year for movie lovers. The movie studios usually release their big, Oscar-hopefuls at the end of the year, just in time to be nominated by the Academy. Let’s take a look at some of the movies I am looking forward to seeing this month.

Back in the dark ages, before DVDs, BlueRay, TiVo or even VCRs, we had to wait until October to see The Wizard of Oz on TV. It would run on channel 4 every fall and my brother and I would sit in front of the old RCA Victor and watch in wonder.
