Potiche was one of the films I watched at the Dallas International Film Festival earlier this month. Starring the great Catherine Deneuve and directed by François Ozon, Potiche is my idea of a French Chick Flick.

I am currently involved in a cool project with other movie bloggers at Anomalous Material. The Hollywood Fantasy Movie Draft is kind of like fantasy football, but with movies. Each of us picked 7 actors and a director for our fantasy movie. I am making the perfect chick flick, a romantic dramedy starring Hugh Jackman.

Big 80′s hair, shoulder pads and Harrison Ford in his prime. Working Girl starred Melanie Griffith as Tess McGill, the hard-working Administrative Assistant ( but we called them secretaries then). What is your favorite Working Girls Chick Flick?

We love a Chick Flick with a strong female character. It could be the young girl looking for loving in a romantic-comedy or the poor girl in a really sad tear-jerker, or a chick who can kick butt in an Action Chick Flick. The leading lady is our heroine. She is the reason why we love Chick Flicks.
