The nominations for the 85th Annual Academy Awards were announced today. It was no surprise that Steven Speilberg’s Lincoln lead the way with 12 nominations, including Best Director for Speilberg and Best Actor for Daniel Day-Lewis.
One of my recent favorites, Les Miserables received 8 nominations, including Best Actor for Hugh Jackman (yeah!) and Best Supporting Actress for Anne Hathaway (who I predict will win).
Let’s take a look at this year’s Oscar nominations.

There is always talk about who deserved the nomination and who was snubbed. Where is the Best Directing nomination for Katheryn Bigalow, Ben Affleck for Argo and Tom Hooper (although I did think he went waaayy overboard with the close-up lens in Les Mis). What about Leonardo DiCaprio and Jamie Foxx in Django Unchained?
Who else did Oscar snub this year?
