I am not a vampire fan but I do love Twilight and especially Edward. He is so sweet and kind and loving and attentive how can you not fall madly in love with him even if he is a vampire!

I am a long time vampire fan as well. Though I too resisted the Twilight lure, then fell subject to it’s glamour upon second pass, i still don’t agree with all of the myth created here. I have to admit, a one day hopefull writer, it feel quite intimidated with all of the well received vampire tales out there.

First off, how do I top that.. and second, what if they phase is over before I get a chance to publish? (if I ever get that chance) anwyay, i think the whole vampire hype comes from a few things, first off.. the impication of being young forever. I’m staring down 30 quick and the idea of not getting any more wrinkles.. well that’s quite appealing to me.

The second is the primal instinct of a strong male. Vampires are strong, fast and mysterious. It’s a sense of danger to be with one and ultimate vulnurability. I think though most of us modern women don’t want to live in that situation every day, we can’t help but day dream of it form time to time.

Vampires are HOT!…
but I dont see how anyone can call the twilight saga as having anything to do with vampires…The overwhelming popularity it has gained for itself just doesnt seem right..It isnt bad as long as you dont get offended by how the vampires are portrayed as complete wimps.. otherwise its a good trashy romance novel for the young girls..

Being able to resist the hyped Twilight saga for almost a year I finally decided to see what all the fuss was about, it ended with me buying all the books and excited to see the next movie. I like the twilight saga, I like the story though I am as a vampire lover not satisfied with her version of vampires. I can agree with most things, but disagree with most as well.

I think woman are attracted to the “vampire world” because of the fact that they are mysterious and a bit more animalistic, therefore more appealing. At least I know that’s why I’m interested in vampires. There’s not many guys who gives that feeling, since today boys and girls should be equal but there’s a limit to HOW equal we should be. It’s not meant for the man to become the woman and the other way around in a relationship, I know that if I have a man by my side I sure don’t want to feel as if he’s the woman and I’m the man.

I’ve read all the Twilight, True Blood (Sookie Stackhouse), House of Night, and Vampire Diaries series….probably has something to do with trying to live in a fantasy world??
